How to take care of your kids during mold contamination

As we all know, mold contamination poses a very dangerous threat to our health most especially to the younger ones. One of the most common and perhaps also one of the most feared about health-related caused of the black mold is pulmonary hemorrhage among infants. It could also cause nose bleeding, chronic fatigue, headaches, skin allergies, asthma and many more to mention. The mold can easily beat a person especially those with a weak immune system and sadly enough, most of these are kids aged months old to 5 years old. Keep your kids safe from the black mold. Take the necessary precautions below for your kid’s further safety from mold infestation.

1. Once the mold is positively detected, keep your kids away from the infected area. If you have infants, consider temporarily moving out to another place until you’re home becomes certified mold-free. If it is impossible for you to move out, innovate on a temporary safety room. Make sure that it is located away from the mold-infected area.

2. If the infected area is small and if you’re planning on a do-it-yourself mold remediation, always natural cleaning products. 4. Ensure good ventilation inside your house. This should also be the case inside your safe rooms if you have not considered temporarily moving on to another area. Remember mold needs moisture for survival. Without moisture, it becomes almost impossible for them to survive. Even after the cleanup, maintain good ventilation inside your home. .

5. If you start observing different behavior in your kids, check with a doctor right away. Some mold-related causes can become serious over a short period of time most especially if not brought to a medical check-up.
